Our club is based upon FUN, FRIENDS AND FITNESS.
Athletics is a summer sport with our season running from the end of August to the end of March. All ages are welcome, from tiny tots through to masters. Competition is held on a Friday night starting with warm up at 6pm and generally finishing around 8:30pm. Training is offered to ages under 6 to under 17 on a Monday afternoon.
Something For Everyone!
It has been noted by Little Athletics Qld that majority of children join athletics to have fun, be with friends and learn new skills. With this in mind, a revised program has been developed for the coming season focussing on FUN, FRIENDS and FITNESS, with the inclusion of more fun activities and with our coaches on hand offering guidance throughout the night.
This season will also include a games based program for our tiny tots co-ordinated by one of our senior athletes. Tiny tots is aimed at children turning 4 and 5 years of age. These games are designed to develop skills required for future years participating in athletic events.
All results are electronically timed and recorded.
It is the club’s aim to develop children of all abilities by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family and community involvement in athletic activities. We encourage athletes to be the best that they can be by measuring their success against their own personal best. Athletics teaches children the foundation skills for a variety of different sports.
Our club is run by volunteers therefore any assistance offered is always greatly appreciated and keeps the club running smoothly.
